Gender Working Group

Facilitates exchange on gender equity policies and practices to foster more inclusive academic environments.

Background and Purpose

The Gender Group was established in 2006 to share expertise and best practices in gender equity matters across IARU institutions. The group currently focuses on how to develop new programs or maintain momentum on existing programs to support gender equity.

International approaches to gender and LGBTQ+ equity in higher education

An institutional representative is developing a plan for a research paper on the topic of the title. IARU member institutions will be a major focus. The author will interview all members of the Gender Group to learn about their work and find information about the institution’s policies and practices.
